Bay windows
When you install a bay window in your home you are making a statement that says you are confident, strong and you feel that your home is the most
beautiful on the block. A bay window sits in the middle of the main wall of the front of your home and it receives a great deal of natural light that it beams into your living room. In the past, bay windows have been a rounded sectional window – almost crescent shaped – that protrudes beyond the existing boundaries of the wall it is inserted to. Now, bay windows are more geometric in design and they have a large window panel in the middle with the side windows sitting at an angle to the frame.
Bay windows can add space to your front room via the protrusion sits out over the base of the wall and many bay windows have been designed to accommodate a bench in the centre panel for seating that residents can use to enjoy the view that a bay window provides.

The Prima Series sees this beautiful window as one of the leading options for any home’s replacement windows package. It is easily combined with any windows combinations to form a cohesive design that demonstrates the flair and creativity of the home’s owners. The bay window holds many features that can add to your home’s décor – it has a variety of brick molds that come with the window, many different wood interior trim features that will sparkle in your main room, and it comes with an option for an insulated head and seat for those winter nights watching the snow fall. The window comes in the standard white colour – but for those who dare to be different – you can have a myriad of colours to choose from to enhance the look of the exterior of your home.
One of the benefits of the bay window is the fact that it tricks the mind’s eye into thinking that the room is bigger than it is. The protrusion of the window in the middle section provides the appearance a larger room – and the appearance can change the ambiance of the room.
The devilish design of the bay window allows more natural light to enter the room without compromising the integrity or the size of the design. With three panels of glass ready to accept sunlight, the reflection of light from the two side panel’s tricks the mind’s eye, again, into believing that there is more light entering the room than there is.
When you think of a bay window, do you think of the shelf that is created at the base of it for seating or a shelf that you can display china or flowers? Probably not, but that’s a benefit that you receive without engaging in new construction to open up the room.
One thing to remember about bay windows, certainly they are a design accent for the front of your home, but you can install them in any room as a
replacement for the existing window that creates all the benefits in the room it is installed in.
